Dam line
The dam of Sandro Hit x Ehrentusch x Damenstolz is a sister to Warendorf elite stallion Basic by Belissimo, who was a premium stallion and stallion performance test winner. According to the FN breeding value estimation, he was in the top 1% of dressage stallions in Germany. Sunshine’s sister by Sir Donnerhall was sold in the North Rhine-Westphalia elite auction.
Sunshine’s dam, state premium mare Escada completed her mare performance test with a score of 7.99, making her one of the top mares in Westphalia. She is the full sister of international show-jumping star Easy Living.
The third mother, premium mare Arissa by Apart, found international acclaim under Franke Sloothaak. This damline produced numerous successful dressage horses and show-jumpers to advanced level, including B.L. Avalon and Chagall (Markus Merschforman).
The breeder says: “Originally, Sunshine was going to have a career in sports, but this became impossible following an injury in the paddock. As a result of her exceptional quality, we decided she should be a brood mare.
Two of her offspring have already won class M dressage tests and are on their way up into class S.
This line also produced licensed stallions Basic by Belissimo and Formel Eins by Franziskus.
Horses that have enjoyed particular sporting success are Quintessenz SAS by Quaterback (PSG/intermediate I), Avalon by Ars Vivendi (1.60 m show-jumping) and Easy Living by Ehrentusch (1.40 m show-jumping).
Sires
For Dance has been impressing people far and wide since he was licensed. Named a premium stallion, he is fulfilling all of the hopes invested in him. He qualified for the German Championships at age four, five and six, making great rounds. As a result of his exceptional offspring, he was crowned runner-up grand champion by the Oldenburger Verband.
Damsire Sandro Hit – himself a German champion and world champion in the six-year-old dressage horse category – was a stamp stallion in his day. He sired over 180 licensed stallions and over 160 of his offspring have been successful in advanced dressage in Germany alone. In 2016, he provided several participants at the Rio Olympics, including Showtime FRH (Dorothee Schneider) and Jimmy Choo SEQ (Mads Hendeliowitz). Sandro Hit is ranked third in the WBFSH ranking of the best dressage sires in the world.
The pedigree is rounded off with the Westphalian Ehrentusch, who also has For Dance as a descendant. Ehrentusch was himself successful up to Grand Prix level and 15 of his sons were licensed.
